Escolhendo a Pasta de Trabalho.

Promise: In 2 minutes you'll set where Overclock will keep everything it creates for you — and you'll never have to go hunting for a file on your computer again.

Right after installing the assistants, Overclock will ask you just one thing:

"Where do you want to keep your work files?"

That's what we call the working folder (or "workspace"). It's the folder where the assistants save everything they make: the sites, the spreadsheets, the copy, the plans.

What to do

  1. Click the "Choose folder" button.
  2. Your computer's file window will open (same as when you save a document in Word or Google Docs).
  3. Navigate to somewhere easy to remember. Suggestions:
    • Your Desktop: click "Desktop" in the sidebar. It's the easiest place to find later.
    • Your Documents folder: also works well.
  4. Create a new folder for this (recommended). On Mac, click "New Folder" in the bottom corner; on Windows, click "New folder" or press Ctrl+Shift+N. Give it a simple name, like:
    • My Business
    • Overclock
    • My Projects
  5. Go into the newly created folder and click "Select" or "Open" or "Choose" (the button's name varies by system).

Why create a new folder?

Because Overclock is going to create a lot of stuff inside this folder over time. If you pick a folder that already has your personal documents mixed in, it's going to get messy. With a dedicated folder, everything Overclock creates stays separate, easy to find, and easy to clean up if you need to.

Confirming your choice

After selecting the folder, Overclock's screen will show the path of the folder you chose (e.g., /Users/yourname/Desktop/My Business on Mac or C:\Users\YourName\Desktop\My Business on Windows).

Check that it looks right and click "Continue" or "Finish". [[CONFIRM IN UI]]

Done — you're inside Overclock

The onboarding ends here. Overclock will open the main screen — the grid where you'll work with the assistants.

What if I want to change the folder later? You can. Overclock's settings have an option to switch the working folder. But don't worry about that now — the folder you chose today works for the whole course.

This lesson's micro-win, and Module 1's overall micro-win:

Overclock is installed, the assistants are ready, and your working folder is set up. You've reached the main screen.

That took under 10 minutes — and you didn't type a single command, didn't open a single terminal, and didn't need to understand anything about technology. You just clicked, typed your password once, and picked a folder.

That was the most technical part of the whole course. The rest is just conversation.
