Promise: In under 2 minutes you'll have the Overclock installer file downloaded and ready to install.
Overclock runs on Mac and Windows. The steps are nearly identical — only the file you download is different.
Step 1 — Go to the download page
Open your browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox — any of them) and go to:
overclock.sh
If you've already bought Overclock, log in with your email. The download button will show up on your dashboard.
Step 2 — Click "Download"
You'll see two buttons — one for Mac and one for Windows.
- Mac: click the button that says Mac (or
.dmg). A file named something likeOverclock_1.x.x_aarch64.dmgwill start downloading. - Windows: click the button that says Windows (or
.exe). A file named something likeOverclock_1.x.x_x64-setup.exewill start downloading.
Where does the file end up? In your Downloads folder — that's where anything you download from the internet lands. On Mac it's in Finder; on Windows, in the sidebar of File Explorer.
Step 3 — Confirm the file arrived
Before moving to the next step, open your Downloads folder and confirm the file is there.
- Mac: open Finder → click "Downloads" in the sidebar. Look for the
.dmgfile. - Windows: open File Explorer → click "Downloads". Look for the
.exefile.
If the file is there, you're ready.
If the download didn't start or errored out: try another browser. If the problem persists, reach out to Overclock support.
This lesson's micro-win: The Overclock file is on your computer. Now it's just a matter of installing it.
Next step: Depends on your computer. If you have a Mac, go to Lesson 1.3. If you have Windows, skip straight to Lesson 1.4.
